Teddy and the Zoo is a series of ten ink drawings inspired by zoological and botanical illustrations from the 18th and 19th centuries. Through unifying historical and scientific zoological and botanical illustrations with the playful and whimsical image of a teddy bear (Teddy), Teddy and the Zoo aims to re-contextualize two contrasting images while commenting on social, cultural and political constructs.
